Medical Emergency
Our first instinct when responding to a medical emergency is to dial 911.
In a building as large as ÆßÐDzʿª½± and if the caller is agitated, this is not the best response.
It is easy to lead emergency services astray explaining where the medical emergency is.
- For medical emergencies that require immediate attention, please callÌý 514-931-8731 local 1000
Security will expedite a call to 911 and will be able to direct emergency services to the correct location while apprising them of the severity of the incident. - If you call 911 from an internal phone, Security will receive a message that you have done so. Security is trained to assess and deal with emergencies.
- If you call 911 from a cell phone, Security willÌýnot receive a messageÌýand may delay prompt handling whenÌýinstructions are not clear.
- For incidents that may require medical attention, but they are not urgent, please call 514-931-8731 local 1500
Security, in conjunction with the Student First Response Team, will assess the situation and arrange transportation to the hospital, if necessary.
