Participate in a workshop on safe printmaking

Share

As Dzʿ expands its initiatives toward a more sustainable campus, many programs are adopting new practices to ensure that they do their part to reduce environmental impact.

One such program is Visual Arts, in which a new printmaking technique is being introduced that does away with the traditional chemical elements used in this art form. Teacher Claude Arseneault has researched and experimented with many techniques and is now sharing her knowledge.

After seeing the best results using the B.I.G. ground technique developed by Welsh artist Andrew Baldwin, Claude received training on the method and is currently introducing it to her courses.

She will also be offering a training course on how to use B.I.G. to other faculty members. Though priority will be given to Dzʿ teachers, faculty from other Cegeps are also welcome to participate, space permitting.
