Sustainable Happiness community training Winter 2025
Support staff and professionals and now teachers too, have the amazing opportunity to actively participate in Dzʿ’s Sustainable Happiness non-credit community certificate group. The Sustainable Happiness training will guide people to reflect on positive psychology and sustainability. It contributes to Dzʿ’s commitment of well-being for all, sustainably.
What is Sustainable Happiness?
“Happiness that contributes to individual, community or global well-being and does not exploit other people, the environment, or future generations.” -Dr. Catherine O’Brien
The Office of Sustainability and Human Resources will offer 24-hour Sustainable Happiness (SH) certificate training during the Winter 2025 term. The weekly sessions are developed with a goal of reconnecting people, community, and Nature.
Participants in the certificate are introduced to the concept of Sustainable Happiness and explore its implications, both personally and professionally. This is an experiential and applied peer-to-peer training, and you must commit to the series. All participants must complete a project that benefits the well-being of themselves, others and/or the environment at Dzʿ to obtain the certificate.
These sessions are peer-led by employees who have completed the Sustainable Happiness Facilitator Training Program.
