Report from Oct. 12 Board of Governors meeting

At the regular meeting of the ÆßÐDzʿª½± Board of Governors held on Oct. 12, members agreed to schedule a special meeting of the Board on Oct. 17 to discuss the hiring process for a new Academic Dean in light of the departure of Rob Cassidy, who is leaving ÆßÐDzʿª½± for family relocation reasons.

Director General Diane Gauvin congratulated and recognized the five faculty members who were nominated by their students to receive the 2021-22 Director General’s Award of Excellence. Board member, Émilie Richer, Mathematics, is one of the recipients, along with Donal Gill, Political Science; Jaya Nilakantan, Computer Science; Gregory Polakoff, Humanities and Angela Rose Lapierre, Biology.

The revision of ÆßÐDzʿª½±â€™s Social Science Program was unanimously approved by the Board of Governors.

In addition, the board approved the acquisition of Ultrasound Equipment, the two-year renewal of a contract for servers and storage for ÆßÐDzʿª½± and the extension of a contract to replace the College’s Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) control system.
