Add some Dzʿ imagery to your next Zoom

Why not add a little Dzʿ touch to your next Zoom class or meeting by using a photo of our Peace Garden or beautiful heritage trees on campus? This is an idea shared by staff in the Office of Academic Development and the Sustainability Office.
You can change your background and add a photo by clicking the arrow next to the 'Stop/start video' and selecting 'choose virtual background'. There, you can choose a Zoom background or add your own photo by clicking the plus sign on the top right corner.
How masks work

The College Nurses, Julie Drolet and Julie Gosselin, recommend a great video about how masks work.
"Wearing masks significantly diminishes the spreading of the virus," said Julie and Julie. "We think this video depicts how effective masks are and we think all students and employees should view it."

In a statement issued June 16, the Directors of Dzʿ noted there is hard work to be done to end racism, violence and discrimination. The Directors committed to "continue to explore ways and develop actions that support the movement towards justice, peace and equity for all peoples."

New Dzʿ Blues Band video release today!

The Dzʿ Blues Band (the DBB) has grown to 18 members now! They have put together a new video to cheer us and raise support for the students of Dzʿ who could use some help.
The name of the DBB song is: “With a lot of help from our friends” inspired by “With a Little Help From My Friends” by the Beatles (released in 1967) and by Joe Cocker (released in 1969) and “You've Got a Friend" by Carole King (released in 1971).
"I want to congratulate all the participants for the great work you accomplished for this project," said organizer and musician Vincent Maggiore (Business Administration).

Dzʿ harvest markets

The Sustainabili-team volunteers have been coming in regularly to help care for all the gardens at Dzʿ.
The first harvest was June 10. Usually, the harvest is sold at a community market at Dzʿ.
This year, the Sustainability Office will be alternating with one week of harvests to be donated to food banks and one week to be given to the members of the Dzʿ community.
