Birdwatchers wanted early mornings of May 11 & 18!

More than 50 species of birds have been spotted on ÆßÐDzʿª½± grounds and we would like to invite new and experienced birdwatchers to come and help identify migrating and resident species that have stopped to eat or rest on ÆßÐDzʿª½±â€™s green city block. With your help, we can add more birds to our list!

Register for golf tournament at friendly ÆßÐDzʿª½± rates

Registration is now open for the 15th Edition of the ÆßÐDzʿª½± Golf Classic taking place on Tuesday, June 7. Proceeds will go to the Financial Aid Office to help reduce the financial burden on students as the cost of living increases.

ÆßÐDzʿª½± employees, retirees and alumni benefit from friendly prices. Single tickets cost $210, foursomes are $800 and a dinner-only ticket is $100. The day includes a brunch, driving range practice, golf, a cocktail reception and dinner at Summerlea Golf & Country Club in Vaudreuil-Dorion.

Students who founded IndigeSTEM peer tutoring project recognized by Forces Avenir

Currently, Rotshennón:ni Two-Axe and Kayla Spencer-Young are two of a handful of Indigenous students in ÆßÐDzʿª½±â€™s Science Program.

Rotshennón:ni and Kayla wanted to encourage and support their fellow Indigenous students who may be interested in Science. They came up with an idea last semester that has won them the local award and put them in the running for the provincial award, which will be announced at an event in Quebec City in September.

Red Dresses needed for May 5 MMIWG2S Day

On May 5, the First Peoples’ Centre will be commemorating the National Day of Awareness and Action for MMIWG2S. They are asking for your help in gathering red dresses (all sizes – child and adult) for an exhibit. If you have any dresses to donate, please bring them to the First Peoples’ Centre (3E.15) before 12 p.m. on Thursday. If you’d like to participate or help in other ways, please contact Billi-Jo Poirier or Jessica Quijano through MIO.

Rock climbing hours

Rock-climbing is available for employees and students in -1h.02:

Tuesdays: 6 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.

Wednesdays: 6 p.m. - 8 p.m.

Thursdays: 12 p.m. - 2 p.m.

Cost is $4; no experience needed.
