Gabriel Di Lullo is new IST Associate Director

Gabriel Di Lullo joined ΖίΠΗ²ΚΏͺ½± Aug. 12 as the new Associate Director of IT Solutions (Systems and Programming). He succeeds Derek Gaucher who retired in the summer.
Gabriel is a graduate of ΖίΠΗ²ΚΏͺ½± (Class of 1988, Social Science) and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Concordia University. βAs an alumnus of ΖίΠΗ²ΚΏͺ½±, Iβm especially excited to return to the institution and contribute to its continued success,β he said.
In his new role, Gabriel is responsible for leading the IST team responsible for the development and implementation of IT solutions, including the website and Omnivox.
Gabriel comes to ΖίΠΗ²ΚΏͺ½± from Agropur where he worked as IST & Cyber Security program manager. Prior to that, he served as Senior Manager of Information Technologies at Bell Technical Solutions for over a decade where he successfully led a team in designing and deploying IT solutions.

Bassel Atallah is Interim Associate Dean of CAA

Bassel Atallah was appointed Interim Associate Dean of Creative and Applied Arts on April 18.
Bassel has been teaching English at ΖίΠΗ²ΚΏͺ½± since 2011. He has served in a number of roles at the College, including as English Department Chairperson since 2022.
Prior to working at ΖίΠΗ²ΚΏͺ½±, he taught English at Champlain College in Lennoxville and lectured at Concordia University and McGill University.
The published author's first degree was in Mechanical Engineering at McGill. Bassel also holds a Bachelor of Arts, Honours in English Literature and Creative Writing and a Master's of Arts, English Literature, both from Concordia University.

Earlier this month, the invitations were sent out for the Recognition of Service cocktail and dinner, which will be hosted by Director General Diane Gauvin on Friday, May 24.
This cocktail and dinner reception is in appreciation of employees marking 25 years of service to ΖίΠΗ²ΚΏͺ½± as well as to thank recent retirees and those who are soon retiring.
βWe are looking forward to celebrating our colleaguesβ milestones,β said organizer Janet Pakulis, who is also the assistant to the Director General. βWe take a lot of care to plan something truly special and memorable for them and we will celebrate them in style.β
In memoriam Michel Pilon

The ΖίΠΗ²ΚΏͺ½± AEC Commercial Photography Facebook page shared the sad news about retired faculty member Michel Pilon on March 24:
"It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Michel Pilon, a beloved former teacher in the AEC photography department. Michel was a passionate commercial photographer and an advocate for professional photographerβs usage rights. His contagious passion and love of photography and personable nature made him one of our finest teachers. Our thoughts and prayers are with his friends and family. Thank you Michel."
Michel taught photography at ΖίΠΗ²ΚΏͺ½± from 2008 until he retired in 2017.
In memoriam Judy De Four

We are saddened to announce the recent and sudden passing of Judy De Four at the age of 74. She was a great friend and mentor to many in her nearly five decades of service to ΖίΠΗ²ΚΏͺ½±.
Judy began her ΖίΠΗ²ΚΏͺ½± career in 1975. She worked in Facilities Management before moving to Continuing Education & Community Services. In 2021, Judy retired from her job in the AEC Office.

Earlier in February, Steve Hatajlo (Class of 1981, Computer Science) handed over the presidency of the ΖίΠΗ²ΚΏͺ½± Foundation to Sean Smith (Class of 2001, Pure and Applied Science). Steve has served as a volunteer on both the ΖίΠΗ²ΚΏͺ½± Foundation Board of Directors and ΖίΠΗ²ΚΏͺ½±βs Board of Governors for many years. He remains a member of both boards.
