Support Staff Training Day is May 24

Support Staff Training Day is this coming Tuesday, May 24 from 8:50 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. online. It will feature a variety of workshops and plenary speaker Julien R. Johnson (pictured) from Project 10. They will help us understand diversity of gender, sex and sexual orientation. Julien is the person behind ÆßÐDzʿª½±â€™s gender neutral bathrooms.

Denise M. Brend will present a Trauma Informed Care approach in communicating and working with students and colleagues. Denise currently teaches at Université Laval and is a former ÆßÐDzʿª½± teacher.

New Coordinator of Student Services

We are thrilled to welcome Caroline Blouin as the new Coordinator of Student Services. She has worked for many years at different post-secondary institutions, particularly in Ontario, in services that supported students and their academic success. We are confident that our students and staff will benefit from her experience and knowledge of college-aged students and that she will prove to be a great asset for our team and for the College.


New Faculty Orientation March 14

ÆßÐDzʿª½±â€™s New Faculty Orientation will take place Monday, March 14 from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. It is designed to introduce new faculty to information about college services and procedures, teaching at the college level, and tips for engaging students.

The orientation includes asynchronous and synchronous components:
·    Welcome from the Deans and Directors of ÆßÐDzʿª½±
·    Competency based education and the program approach
·    Academic integrity at ÆßÐDzʿª½±
·    Faculty deadlines
·    Faculty roles and responsibilities
·    Classroom scenarios and discussion
·    Professional development opportunities

This event is open to all new Day and Continuing Education faculty with Winter 2022 workload.
