Learn more about the ÆßÐDzʿª½± Foundation’s activities in its annual report

February 8th, 2023

The 2021-2022 annual report of the ÆßÐDzʿª½± Foundation is now available. Take a look to learn more about how the community came together over a challenging year in the face of a pandemic to financially support students in need, host a virtual version of Artists in Bloom (raising $6, 830), as well as reward excellence and support students financially through our Awards and Scholarships program.  Full 2021-2022 financial statements are also available for consultation.

Through annual fundraising events, engagement with alumni and planning new initiatives in collaboration with diverse members of the community, the ÆßÐDzʿª½± Foundation remains committed to supporting excellence and student success at ÆßÐDzʿª½± by being a key source of financial support over and above the budgets provided by the Quebec government.

ÆßÐDzʿª½±’s first Cégep en spectacle packed the house

February 8th, 2023

ÆßÐDzʿª½±'s very first Cégep en spectacle talent show was a great success. On Feb. 2, the audience of 200 people enjoyed 22 acts, all 100% ÆßÐDzʿª½± student talent. At the end of the night, judges Andréa Cole (Dean of Creative and Applied Arts), Jacinta Luis (Faculty, Music) and visiting guest judge Chad Lindsay, a jazz music teacher from Vanier College, chose Aliyah Sarimazi to be ÆßÐDzʿª½±'s entry in the regional contest on March 25 at Cégep du Vieux-Montréal. The audience chose Clara Nhiên Lévesque as the fan favourite and she will be the replacement entry should Aliyah not be able to compete in the regionals.

In addition to a fun evening, a total of $1,600 and three big grocery bags of nonperishable food were collected for Moisson Montréal.

Holiday gift-wrapping yields $9,900 for our Living Campus

January 25th, 2023

The ÆßÐDzʿª½± Foundation and the Sustainability Office would like to thank the 33 volunteers who gave their time in December and all those who donated at the ÆßÐDzʿª½± gift-wrapping station in Alexis-Nihon Mall.

Over 21 days of holiday gift-wrapping, a total of $9,900 was raised. These funds will be used by the Sustainability Office for learning activities and projects that contribute to well-being for all on our Living Campus. While getting their gifts wrapped, visitors and donors learned about ÆßÐDzʿª½±â€™s Living Campus projects, including the gardens, the beehives, the Monarch Butterflies and more.

Discover 12 projects funded by Foundation

January 25th, 2023

A dozen projects proposed by ÆßÐDzʿª½± students, faculty and staff have been approved for funding through the ÆßÐDzʿª½± Foundation’s new Student Academic Enrichment Fund.

A website page showcases the projects and allows others to invest in a particular project through a donate button.

The Student Academic Enrichment Fund is supported by students each semester and is meant to be a source of funds for projects that demonstrate a clear benefit for ÆßÐDzʿª½± students and represent an activity that goes over and above core competencies for completion of a program. The selection committee, including representatives from the ÆßÐDzʿª½± Student Union, Academics and Student Services, meets twice a year to review and approve project proposals.

The next round of project applications will open later this semester and will be announced in D News and the Omnivox student news feed.
