25th Edition of Artists in Bloom is April 20

March 22nd, 2023

Springtime means that Artists in Bloom is back! The event will be in-person on Thursday, April 20 at 5:30 p.m. in 3C.1 It will also be possible to buy prints online from April 11-28. This year will be the fundraising event’s 25th annual edition— a quarter century! We are excited to welcome you to the event and to see what our talented student artists will produce. Advance tickets are only $20 and will be for sale as of Monday, March 27 in 2E.6 and 4A.1 Your ticket gives you entrance to the event, one drink and hors d'oeuvres.

ÆßÐDzʿª½±'s Winter 2023 Open House held on Feb. 8 was a success by all accounts, with a steady and large stream of prospective students milling around the campus and avidly interested in all that ÆßÐDzʿª½± has to offer. The Communications Office would like to thank all who volunteered their time at the welcome tables, Facilities Management staff for preparation and take down in common areas, our cafeteria staff for the delicious prepared meals, and our faculty, student volunteers, Student Services staff and advisors who provided valuable interaction and information to prospective students throughout the evening.

Winter Open House is Wednesday, Feb. 8

Winter Open House will be much like it used to be before the pandemic. It will take place on Wednesday, Feb. 8 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Visitors will be able to come in without appointments to speak to faculty and students from programs/profiles, as well as advising/admissions and select services from student services.

The venues for Open House will be Lower and Upper Atrium, Conrod's, Oliver's, 3C.1. 


Snow and adverse weather communications

If there is severe weather and ÆßÐDzʿª½± needs to close, an email message will first go to all employees from the Communications Office via All ÆßÐDzʿª½± email. Students will be sent the same message via Omnivox mandatory document and the website homepage will include an alert for the general public.

ÆßÐDzʿª½± faculty members share their experiences about adopting active learning pedagogy and some examples of how it enriches learning in a bilingual video made on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the ÆßÐDzʿª½± Active Learning Community (DALC). These students are distinguished by involvement in the ÆßÐDzʿª½± community, giving back or academic excellence and perseverance. Congratulations to our students and many thanks to all the donors and staff who make these awards possible.

At the celebration held on Nov. 24, we marked the 40th anniversary of the Anne-Marie Howlett Memorial Award, the inauguration of the Harry Fainsilber Memorial Award, given in memory of a beloved ÆßÐDzʿª½± Mathematics teacher, and the return of the ÆßÐDzʿª½± Teachers’ Union Polytechnique Memorial Scholarship.
