First Int’l Math Day celebrated last Thursday

The first International Day of Mathematics (March 14) was celebrated at ÆßÐDzʿª½± on Thursday.

Andreea Panait of ÆßÐDzʿª½±'s Mathematics Department reported: "We started the day with some wonders in Mathematics, then we moved to the history of Calculus and we ended with some applied math in creating interesting apps. To complete the day, we gave prizes for the math poster contest."

Students Sara Boubekri (pictured with Andreea) and Zaina Mahran were the winners.


Events cancelled through April 12 and building closed until March 30

Due to the public health guidelines issued by the Quebec Government, all events at ÆßÐDzʿª½± are cancelled through April 12 and the College building is closed to everyone from now until the morning of March 30. That is the status today, March 17. We will notify you if there are further changes.

Get out your Pink Shirt! Tomorrow is Pink Shirt Day. CLL invites everyone to join people across Canada who are standing up to bullying on Wednesday, Feb. 26. Come to the Upper Atrium and write a message of kindness on a tiny pink t-shirt card. In exchange, you will receive an "Always Be Kind" pin and a coupon for pink cotton candy to sweeten your day.

ÆßÐDzʿª½± students build wind turbines in 3 hours

February 11th, 2020

Five teams of ÆßÐDzʿª½± Science students participated in the annual Déplace de l'air competition at Polytechnique Montréal Feb. 8.  They had three hours to build an operational wind turbine from scratch using only the materials provided. The best among them produced 1150mV during testing. ÆßÐDzʿª½±'s best entry placed 14th of about 60 teams.
