Message from the Director General
Hi everyone! I hope you and your dear ones are coping well with the many challenges we face in this critical period.
We are now a little more than two weeks into this very unique and difficult situation caused by the outbreak of COVID-19.
Uncertain conditionsÂ
Each and everyone of us has to make decisions and take action under uncertain conditions. Many aspects of this new reality remain largely unknown. It may generate stress and anxiety for some, and it can somewhat impede our collective capacity to override the tide and rise up to the challenges with success.
Since the beginning of this pandemic, we have all been asked to put the shoulder to the wheel, to give this new reality some kind of normalcy and find ways to salvage the academic year.
Up to the taskÂ
I am very much aware of all the pressure this expectation is putting on ÆßÐDzʿª½±â€™s employees, especially on teachers and students. But, against all odds, the signals we are receiving show that we are up to the task. In many instances, we have rolled up our sleeves and we have responded: “Present!”
On behalf of the College administration and speaking personally, I want to extend my genuine gratitude and heartfelt thanks to all of our employees who are doing their best to reinvent their ways of doing things. It is a giant effort and we should all be proud of what has been accomplished so far. At the core of this battle rests one thing: the need to maintain clear communication lines between us and, above all, with our students.
Journey not overÂ
Make no mistake. The journey is not over yet. It will take a lot of resilience and creativity to get through this unprecedented situation.
All we have been used to has to be reassessed and redefined. It thus requires of us much humility since we need more than ever to rely on each other and to learn from each other. At the end of the day, is this not what education should be all about?
À bientôt.Â
Stay safe and keep following the guidelines to slow the spread of COVID-19!
