First Peoples Postsecondary Storytelling Exchange Celebration and Web Launch – February 16 – Invitation!
She:Kon / Tansi / Atelihai / Kweih / Kwe / Aanii / Hello / Bonjour!
We invite you to join us for theÌýFirst Peoples Postsecondary Storytelling Exchange (FPPSE) live, online celebration as we share project highlights and launch our website.
This virtual gathering is the culmination of a 4-year SSHRC-fundedÌýcollaborative project created to improve access to education for First Nations, Inuit and Mé³Ù¾±²õ students and help close the gap between postsecondary institutions and communities.
During the project, Inuit, Cree, Kahnien’keha:ka and Tiohtià :ke-based Indigenous students and graduates shared their educational journeys through film, video and storytelling. Stories recount challenges and barriers as well as personal transformation, resilience and visions for educational futures.
This event includes a short presentation of the project, video premieres and a brief walk through the website designed to assist students, educators and families with resources and educational opportunities while advocating for Indigenous sovereignty in post-secondary education.ÌýSimultaneous interpretation in English to French will be available.

First Peoples Post-secondary Storytelling Exchange
I acknowledge that I live and work on the unceded territory of the Kanien’kehá:ka nation, a place which has long been a site of meeting and exchange among many First Nations.
